Expedition Cruising: From the Galápagos to Antarctica
Wednesday 21st October 2026 | With Impress Travel, National Geographic & Lindblad Expeditions
Join us at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club for a very special evening as our Winter Lecture Series takes us on a journey to some of the world's most spectacular and remote destinations.
We are delighted to welcome Impress Travel, the new sponsor of our Winter Lecture Series, alongside National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions, for an inspiring evening exploring the extraordinary world of expedition cruising.
An Evening of Exploration and Discovery
This special lecture will showcase the unique collaboration between National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions, a partnership that brings together National Geographic's commitment to exploring and protecting the natural world with Lindblad Expeditions' more than 60 years of exploration experience.
From the remarkable wildlife of the Galápagos Islands to the breathtaking landscapes of Antarctica, guests will discover what makes expedition cruising such a unique and immersive way to experience the world.
Unlike traditional cruising, these voyages offer opportunities to venture beyond the ordinary, with Zodiac excursions, close encounters with wildlife and expert-led experiences that bring each destination to life.
Meet Our Guest Speaker: Emma Ridley
We are delighted to welcome Emma Ridley, an experienced Expedition Leader, marine biologist and longtime resident of the Galápagos Islands.
Having led expeditions since 1997, Emma brings a wealth of firsthand knowledge and experience from some of the world's most extraordinary environments.
During the evening, Emma will share her experiences of expedition cruising, offering a fascinating insight into the wildlife, landscapes and remarkable encounters that make these journeys so memorable.
The lecture will also explore the immersive Explorers in Training programme, which offers younger travellers opportunities to discover and learn about the natural world through hands-on experiences.
Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions during a dedicated Questions & Answers session, making this a wonderful chance to hear directly from an experienced expedition leader.
Discover Your Next Adventure
Representatives from Impress Travel will also be available to discuss the range of expedition cruises and holidays offered through National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions.
Whether you have always dreamed of visiting Antarctica, exploring the Galápagos Islands or simply discovering more about this fascinating style of travel, this promises to be an evening full of inspiration.
