Exhibition of RLymYC Members’ Art 2026

Saturday 31st October – Thursday 26th November

We're delighted to welcome the return of our Members' Art Exhibition, showcasing the wonderful artistic talents of our Club community.

Running from Saturday 31st October to Thursday 26th November, the exhibition will see the first floor of the Club transformed into a gallery, displaying an array of Members' original paintings and art photography.

Whether you're an experienced artist or simply enjoy painting or photography in your spare time, we warmly encourage Members to get involved and help make this year's exhibition a fantastic celebration of creativity within the Club.

Calling All Club Artists!

Members are invited to submit up to three framed works of art, created since January 2020 and not previously exhibited at the Club.

As in previous years, the Commodore will be invited to select her favourite piece, while everyone visiting the exhibition will have the opportunity to vote for their three favourite artworks using the voting slips provided at the exhibition entrance.

The selected works will be photographed and featured in a subsequent notice to Members.

Should sufficient entries be received, there will also be a separate Youth Category for ages 13–17, so we particularly encourage our younger Family Members to get involved!

How to Enter

Members wishing to exhibit should complete the attached entry form and submit it alongside a JPEG photograph of each artwork.

Entry Deadline: Friday 16th October 2026

Please note that late entries cannot be accepted.

If you subsequently decide not to exhibit a piece included on your submission form, please notify both the Club and Jose Nieves as soon as possible.

Artwork Requirements

All submitted artwork must be framed to a professional standard and fitted with securely attached, suitably sized large D-rings on the vertical sides at the back of the frame. Hooks cannot be accepted, as the Club's hanging system uses its own hooks which pass through the D-rings.

Each piece must also have a label securely attached to the back, including:

• Artist's name

• Medium (acrylic, oil, pencil, photography, etc.)

• Price

• Artist's contact details

If your artwork is not for sale, please clearly indicate this on the label.

Any purchases will be arranged directly between the interested buyer and the artist, including payment and collection following the exhibition.

Please be aware that artwork not meeting the exhibition requirements may be excluded at the discretion of the Art Exhibition Committee.

Artwork Delivery & Collection

Delivery – Thursday 29th October

0900–1700

Please report to Reception upon arrival before taking your artwork directly to the Sail Loft.

Each piece must be individually wrapped in sturdy, reusable wrapping materials, clearly marked with your name, with a printed copy of your submission form securely attached to the outside.

Please retain suitable wrapping materials, as these will be reused when preparing your artwork for collection.

Collection – Friday 27th November

0900–1700

Please note that there will be no stewarding of the exhibition this year, and all artwork is submitted and displayed at the owner's risk.
