Last weekend 14 sailors from Royal Lymington YC competed at the RS Tera National Championships in Paignton. 

The racing was Spread across three fleets. Day one was really light winds and shifty with only one race sailed. 

Day two saw big seas and and 15-20knkts of wind on the race course with 4 races sailed. 

Day three sailing was cancelled due to bigger waves and stronger winds!

Congratulations to Thomas Hill coming first in Sport fleet, Olivia MacAlister coming 1st Girl and 5th overall in Pro fleet, Toby Champkin for getting the most ‘1st over the line in Regatta fleet, and Lucas Hill for coming 1st under 10 years old. 

All the sailors that competed should be really proud of their results given the tricky conditions. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many broken masts in one day!!
