Members' Art Exhibition 2021
Open from Tuesday 2nd - Sunday 28th November 2021 (inclusive) for the display of framed works of art
The Royal Lymington Yacht Club is delighted to announce that the annual Members’ Art Exhibition will this year be on show for most of the month of November. It will be a precursor to the Centenary year, and we hope that many of the pictures will reflect some aspect of the Club’s 100-year history. The Club is a very good place for Members to show and possibly sell their work and it is hoped that artists and photographers will take this opportunity to bring their work in. The Guidelines for submission, delivery, collection and sale in 2021 have been altered to reflect the changing situation in respect of the pandemic and we urge all exhibitors to follow them carefully.
Paintings will be hung on the walls of the Solent Room, the Island Room and the Needles Room using the same system as last year. In addition, we are hoping that it will be possible to hang some pictures on the first-floor landing. This will allow members to have a good opportunity to view the art works, whether they are eating or taking part in other Club activities or simply visiting the bar. The Commodore will be asked to choose his favourite picture and all viewers of the exhibition are invited to email Josie Nieves or Gillian Poole with their own choice of work. The chosen pictures will be photographed and published in a subsequent notice to members. See all the details and the application form below. Print outs will also be available from Reception.
